The design inspiration for Tajmahal came from quartzite. Tajmahal is a real stone, which is quarried from Brazil. This surface is polished and created into luxurious countertops for kitchens, bathrooms, and exterior use. Like quartzite our quartz surfaces are engineered similarly. Tajmahal features light spotting and hints of brown and gold. While this slab was created with natural stone in mind, the process of making quartz is what separates the two. Quartzite is a hard stone, quite dense but it still does not offer the ease of wiping away all spills, because quartzite is porous.
